Making Meaning – Memory Makers

You’re warmly invited to join our next Zoom gathering on Wednesday, October 1, 2025,  at 12:00pm (ET)/11:00am (CT) where we will welcome Rev. Dr. Tanya Eustace Campen as our special guest speaker! Dr. Campen will lead us into Chapter 5 of her book Holy Work with Children, focusing on Memory Makers—how children remember what they have experienced and learned as they do the holy work of making meaning.

Together, we’ll explore how these memories shape children’s ability to think abstractly, expand their understanding of the world, and deepen their experience of God. In her book, Dr. Campen draws on Fowler’s insights, inviting us to consider how symbols, speech, and play become powerful tools for children as they tell and retell their stories of faith.

✨ To enrich our time together, we invite all attendees to bring a list of milestones you celebrate in your churches and the memory makers you use to mark them.

Don’t miss this special opportunity to learn from Dr. Campen and to share wisdom with one another.
